How to Check Reliance Jio Balance

With Jio being a paid service from April 1, many of the people reading this have probably gotten a prepaid recharge done by now. If you're reading this after April 1, then you might want to know what your balance is. Of course, all calls are free on Reliance Jio, and so your balance is going to be used to pay for your chosen data plan, and of course, excess data consumption.

Whether you're a Jio Prime user or not, checking your balance is going to be important, and according to Jio's website, there are two ways to check your balance - but both of these require Internet access. We tested both to make sure they're working properly, and had no problems. These are the steps you have to follow to check your balance.

On your phone

Checking your balance on your phone is a very simple process, that won't take a minute to do.

1. Launch the MyJio app on your Jio connected phone
2. Tap on Open next to MyJio to enter the app
3. Tap on Sign In**, and enter your username (phone number) and password, or tap on Sign in with SIM
4. Go to the menu by swiping in from the left or tap the three-lines menu button.
5. Tap on My plans

That's it. This screen will show you the details of your balance and validity, including the amount of prepaid data, Wi-Fi data, and SMS calls you can make.

On your computer

In case you can't look up this on your Jio phone - maybe your data isn't working, and you want to check if there is balance - the process is equally simple.

1. Visit Jio.com
2. Login with your phone number and password
3. Click on My Plans to see your balance and the other details

That's all there is to it. Jio has confirmed that it presently does not have USSD or SMS features, so you'll have to be online on either your phone or PC to check your prepaid balance.
